TOPIC:
This time we will have a "What's New at CDLI" video playing in the background and handouts at the table so there will be no reason to interrupt the great conversations happening at each table. We will have at least one person from CDLI at each table so that if you have questions or suggestions you can get them addressed. The What's New video will include our new Teaching Ideas Portal (TIP) where faculty can share ideas and resources; Flipped Classroom Workshops; examples of our new Program ePortfolio Templates; The Discussion Doctor: 13 Fixes for Your Forum Fails; the new CDLI Newsletter;  our new Teaching Presence Course;  as well our new "Rubric Corner."

1.) Introducing our visitor from the Universidad Centramericana in Nicaragua, Erika Mejia, and a glimpse of the new UCOR course that was developed as a collaborative effort between our two universities. 2.) Status of the Blended/Hybrid Flow Mapper materials and ongoing research for the Educause Learning Initiative (ELI). 3.) Brief Review of the suggestions from last spring's survey with openings for comments in person and afterwards online.

Brief overview: Collaboration with the Center for Faculty Development to host a Faculty Learning Community in fall 2017 around Brookfield and Preskill's book, The Discussion Book: 50 Ways to Get People Talking.  Educause Learning Initiative (ELI) is interested in research on how faculty use our new Flow Map; do any FIG members want to be involved? New Assessing Program Outcomes with ePortfolios visualization. Examples of work coming out of Course Design II.

A new design tool for hybrid/blended courses that helps instructors weigh the pros and cons of online versus classroom activities at every step of the way, the startup of Course Design II, new offerings of Assignment Design Charrettes and more.
